Paralympics | Rio 2016

The city of Rio de Janeiro had the honor of giving up the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and I had the highest honor of volunteering as assistant event services during the Paralympic Games.

I stayed in Rio from 08/09 to 09/20 and basically my job was to take care of access to the Backstage of Pavilion 6 - RioCentro.

In Pavilion 6 there were the Sit Volleyball games with teams from various regions of the world. For this reason, my job was to deal with people from all over the world and it was an indescribable cultural exchange. I was able to practice my English a lot since I needed to communicate with technical staff, athletes, the press and collaborators around the world almost all the time.

I looked after the accesses of the Olympic Family, Team Judges, Athletes, Workforce and Press, and Photographers, in short, the Backstage area of the event.

Rio 2016 was, by far, simply the best experience I have ever experienced to this day. Just a chapter of life that I wanted to last forever. Only those who lived know how much I miss them.

Working on the games exceeded all my expectations. I had the honor of working alongside so many good people, both professionally and as a human being. These days have brought me learning, experience, network, friendships and the certainty that we can leave our mark on people's lives.

To love and to do good without looking at whom.

This is the legacy.

Thank you, Rio 2016, for the opportunity to be part of the biggest event in the world and for every smile I give in telling this story.

Congresses VEM! | 2016

Congresses COME! | 2016 From April 20 to 24, and from May 25 to 29 of this year, the 13th edition of CONECADES and the 8th edition of Porto Saúde, respectively, took place in Porto Seguro, Bahia.

Achieved by VEM! Events, the congresses already have years of tradition and are considered the largest university congresses in the country.

I had the opportunity to take on 3 production functions in these major events, which were: Food Supervision, Support Center Supervision, and Purchasing Monitoring.

Basically, I was responsible for feeding all the work teams, outsourced, suppliers, and the restaurant that supplies this need for food. In addition, I was responsible for all the purchases that the events and their departments needed, and the Support Center (where supports and suppliers were accredited).

The Porto Seguro events were not only a great challenge but also a life lesson.
